We had visitors!

Cari, Nikki, and Kinnedy came to visit for a couple of days after the New Year. It was SO nice!  There is nothing like hanging with my sisters.  Cari and I let the kids entertain themselves while we did whatever we wanted - TOGETHER!  We played games, shopped, laughed, practiced chalk board writing, did makeup tutorials, laughed, played games, and just enjoyed being with each other.
Unfortunately for Nikki, she had a little too much one on one time with some ice and the ground.  Luckily, she has the best Uncle in the world and we had her wrist casted up in no time.  She was super excited about it!
The highlight of the visit was taking the kids to the temple (sans the girl with the cast who graciously volunteered to watch the little ones).  It was Ashlyn's first time!  There is no better place to be with my family.  Eric was already there, so we joined him and reveled in the Spirit.

Fun in the snow!

We have had SO much snow this winter!  Especially compared to last winter when Texas got more snow than we did.  I've been terrible about taking pictures, so I am thankful for friends who invite my kids over to play in the snow and then actually take pictures of it.  The Dockstader's are the best!

Somebody is FORTY!!!

Happy Birthday to Eric!  He hasn't been too sure about turning 40, but I think he gets better and handsomer as the years go by.  I can't wait for sixty and beyond!

Isaac decided to mount his shoulders, so that Eric could show "one last act of strength" as an old man.
We enjoyed a low-key day with family, each other, and dinner with friends.  We sure love this birthday guy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  We're excited to see what 2019 has in store. Bring it on!
We may not have had a white Christmas, but a white New Year was just as beautiful!  I think it's an omen for good things to come.
