And away he goes...on two wheels!

Carter has been anxious to ride on two wheels for a long time, but he gets really nervous, so it has been a long process overcoming his fears. He has been wishing every wish and even dreaming dreams that he could ride on two wheels. The day finally came! Isaac has been working with him for awhile, but he never wants him to let go. Eric and I let go - and he rides fine - but he stopped letting us help him. The other day one of his training wheels came off and that was all he needed. He built his confidence riding with one and then yesterday morning before school Isaac took off his other one, helped him get started, and away he went - first try. Turning and everything. He was all over the back yard without a problem. He was one excited boy! I have video of it, but our internet can't quite cut uploading it, so this picture will have to do. It's such a good feeling to see your child accomplish something that they've worked so hard for and wanted so badly. These are the times that make motherhood more than worth it.
